Connect the Dots

My friend Angela wanted to murder me when she found out that I paid ten whole dollars for this vintage, vaguely galactic polka-dot top. I can't blame her. I had heart palpitations when I saw it hanging in a random antique shop in Snohomish, WA. It was one of those grab-it-tightly-and-run-to-the-cash-register moments.

I've been wearing lots of turtlenecks lately — the perfect ways to winterize a summertime top. This black pleated skirt has also found pretty regular rotation in the ol' wardrobe. I like wearing it high on my waist with long, oversized sweaters. Gives it kind of a dropped silhouette that just feels lovely right now.

And yep, the beret lives on.
