Ahhhhh, I love this story. I've been wanting to do a gungry, small-town editorial for years, and it finally came to fruition for the July issue of METRO magazine (where I'm senior fashion editor). The model, Mary Cann, was amazing — so perfect for this vibe, and a total pro. Our photographer, William Clark, nailed the aesthetic and really understood my vision.
This was stylist Andrea Oseland's first editorial (she'd mostly does commercial/runway projects) and she really blew me away. I'm obsessed with the tribal wedges in this last shot, and the DFV bag in the second shot might be the greatest bag ever. Andrea was able to work in a few pieces from her jewelry line, Cocoquette, which was also fun.
