Fall 2011 Fashion Trends

I styled five looks and wrote a fall trend report for the September issue of METRO magazine, where I'm the senior fashion editor. This was a really fun story to put together. You may recognize Kelly from this fashion editorial I orchestrated for Minnesota Bride, where I'm editor-in-chief. Kelly is one of my favorite models around town — she's a great mover, has a really cool look and understands fashion.
In case you can't read the text in this story, here are the trends I call out: effortless, loose-fitting cuts and flowing fabrics; chunky, cozy sweaters; oversized fits; long skirts; grunge vibes; tough black leather; biker jackets; high-waisted skirts; masculine-tinged handbags; painterly prints; wedges; bold jewelry.
