What a weekend! I took in a baseball game with Vanessa that involved a little bit of sleuth on our parts. We bought cheaps seats and snuck into some better ones. I can see my mother wagging her finger now. Sorry, Mom.
This was definitely the hottest, muggiest weekend of the summer so far, which provoked serious pool-time. I grabbed my best girls and we sprawled out on the roof at the Calhoun Beach Club, alternating between the water and deck chairs. We went to my place afterward and Jim proposed to Sarah right on my front stoop! Celebration was in order! We got chicken pot-pie and milkshakes at Cafeteria.
Today I woke up early and ate pancakes with homemade jam at a brunch party, then scoped out the Bastille Day Block Party at Barbette. It was RIDICULOUSLY hot. We watched some bands, drank some water and booked it back to the A/C.
Tonight called for a belated birthday sushi dinner at Masu before heading home for a tiny screening party for the new season of Breaking Bad. It was violent; I closed my eyes a lot.
