New Edgy Bridal Fashion Editorial

It's rare to see a bride decked out in an wedding-wear this edgy, especially in the Midwest, but that never seems to stop me. You're looking at a fashion spread from the new issue of Minnesota Bride, where I'm editor-in-chief.

Using amazing, bold statement jewelry by Stephanie Lake Design and couture bridal and evening gowns, stylist Grant Whittaker put togeher an arresting array of chic, moody wedding-day looks. Grant is a master of layering and thinking outside the box — it's not unusual for him to use a skirt as a headscarf or put two dresses on top of one another. He thinks like an artist.

We originally used the movie Black Swan as inspiration, but the story, which was shot by Miles Schuster, quickly took on a life of its own. Click here to see behind-the-scenes shots from the making of this spread. I'm thrilled with the results. What do you think?

Those really are fierce and edgy wedding dresses! But they are all lovely and glamorously made! I love them all!
