A Long Weekend on Orcas Island

I spent the long weekend blissfully island-hopping with five close pals. We rented a cabin on Orcas Island for three days, grilling too much food, playing endless games, cartwheeling around the yard, wandering through a farmers' market and sleeping in as late as possible.

On Sunday we took the ferry to Lopez Island to visit Jenny's parents in their cozy little trailer. They treated us to a veritable feast of fresh vegetables, crostini and fish, rounding out the evening with bluegrass music around the campfire.

It was such a perfect weekend. I love these guys.
