Hey.

I'm Mary. It's nice to meet you. This blog is a tiny space on the internet to document my musings on style, travel and culture. Enjoy!

Avoid the Grey ... and then some

Last night centered around Cliché boutique's annual "Avoid the Grey" fashion show at Old Arizona Theater. Some two dozen local clothing and accessory designers showcased their latest work around a jailhouse rock theme.

I hit up the 9:30 show with my pals Meghan of High Plains Thrifter and stylist/art director Molly Roark. We dined on delicious Greek food at Christos beforehand, then scurried down the street (quite literally) to take our seats before showtime. Here are a few shots from the restaurant:

Meg, wearing one of her many vintage finds.

I need beauty tips from Molly; she always looks so put-together.

I wore a thrifted '80s dress with my fave Bionic Unicorn necklace.

Here's designer Emma Berg and fashion stylist/writer Jahna Peloquin, pre-show. They match quite nicely!

Designer Ivan Idland poses with two of his models. So cute! I love these looks.

Ignite model Alyssa Nyman and designer Niki English, looking chic.

Designers Kerry Riley and Danielle Everine with Molly.

Designer Amanda Christine, surrounded by models. I love how they're all so glam, you can't tell the models from the designer.

Here are some shots from the show. I'll be posting professional photos on metromag.com shortly, so let these serve as a little preview.

Afterward, a few of us headed to the official after-party at the Kitty Cat Klub.

I spotted a photo booth off to the side of the room that was feeding stop-motion-style photos onto a screen against the wall. Check out the revelers:
