A peek inside my place

Kirby, from the delightful Seattle street fashion blog Dressed for Tea, was kind enough to feature me on his site today. OUTFIT POST: Hot Pink + Stonewashed

I met my summer love affair at a thrift store in Renton the other day. This stonewashed denim skirt was originally ankle length and I hacked off about two feet. I thought about going even higher, but I want it to be work-appropriate and comfy — attributes that don't always coalesce with micro-minis.

This awsome magenta blouse hails from a thrift store in Boise. The print seems eerily modern in a vintage-inspired kind of way, but one look at the '80s font on the inside tag and it's clear — this sucker's old school.

OUTFIT POST: Prep School

My pal Jenny gave me this amazing navy suede skirt out of the blue a couple weeks ago. Like me, she has a bit of a vintage obsession and occasionally buys things that she loves but doesn't end up wearing. I just so happened to reap the benefit this time. It's the perfect spring skirt and gives off a cute schoolgirl vibe when paired with a classic white blouse.

This particular blouse hails from a Boise thrift store. I love the embroidered detail and black trim on the collar. It was a little chilly in the park, so I tossed on a beat-up brown leather bomber jacket.

Oh! And do you like the ruffle socks with the lace-up heels? It's one of my favorite footwear combos.
