OUTFIT POST: Spakly Paisley Shift Dress

The first time I wore this dress was to a swanky house party with the dress code "decadent, dashing and dapper." A huge hole ripped up the back as I got out of the car, requiring an emergency sew session in an upstairs bedroom (thanks, Tracy!!). I took it to the tailor later with a single request: "please let it out in the back."

This was before I started running! Now I'm able to slip into this dress quite comfortably. I wore it to my work holiday party in December and hope to find another reason to wear it sometime soon. It's one of two sparkly items in my closet. Growing up in Minneapolis and living in Seattle doesn't result in many excuses for giltz and glamour.
