Greetings from 1975.
Hah. I wish. But this vintage coat probably hails from sometime around then. It's an oldie-but-a-goodie that I picked up from a thrift store in Everett, WA. I brought it with me to New York Fashion Week, but never ended up wearing it. There was something too alluring about all my long coats — probably the bonus leg warmth (though they got caught in car doors far too often).
Things are finally getting back to normal now that I'm home. The boyfriend and I went to one of the nerdiest places I've ever been yesterday: "The Art of Video Games," an exhibit at the Experience Music Project, a pop-culture museum in Seattle. The video games part was okay, but we loved the sci-fi exhibit even more. He geeked out over Yoda's cane and a bloody shirt from "Shaun of the Dead," and I watched the making of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and pretended to fly through outer space. Naturally.
