Sol Inspirations Eco Fashion Gala wrapped up Minnesota Fashion Week with a bang last night at The Depot. Six designers — including Project Runway Season Six finalists Christopher Straub and Ra'mon-Lawrence Coleman — competed for a $5,000 prize, creating three eco-couture runway looks. So all those dresses above that looked like wood, rubber and other weird materials? That's precisely what they were.
Christopher went home with the prize, and Project Runway Season Seven winner Seth Aaron Henderson capped off the evening with his Solar World Collection, pictured above. I chatted with him for a bit after the event; he said he showed his most recent ready-to-wear collection at LA Fashion Week last month and plans to unveil his Spring 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week this September. Can't wait to see it!
