Hey.

I'm Mary. It's nice to meet you. This blog is a tiny space on the internet to document my musings on style, travel and culture. Enjoy!

Emily Bryngelson in Vena Cava for Opening Ceremony

Check out my pal Emily Bryngelson modeling Vena Cava's latest collection for Opening Ceremony, an amazing international boutique that carries some of the world's most cutting-edge designs. Apparently, she was working the sales floor one day and the web team just snatched her up! No time for hair or makeup — just threw some clothes on her and started snapping away!

This is fabulous for two reasons: 1) Emily is awesome. She's actually a fashion designer from Minnesota, which is how we know each other, but she moved to New York a year or so ago and started interning for Highland, which is how I discovered the brand for last week's Time Out New York story.

And 2) Vena Cava is awesome. I love this spring line — the bold prints, '70s shapes and easy materials. I'm head-over-heels for that oversized shirt-dress, and those overalls have to be the chickest pair that's ever existed. Emily has the right look for these clothes too — a little bit rock 'n' roll and a little bit elegant. Bravo!
