Admiring the work of stylist Camilla Nickerson

Sometimes when I'm sitting quietly at home and feel like looking at pretty pictures, I peruse the portfolios of my favorite photographers, stylists and designers. Tonight, rather than drinking green beer with my fellow Irishmen, I'm oohing and ahhing over the work of acclaimed wardrobe stylist Camilla Nickerson. She's one of the world's top stylists, creating editorials for US Vogue, W and V, and countless ad campaigns.

What an amazingly broad array of work. It's clear that boundless time, brainstorming and focus went into each project. Nickerson is precise and deliberate, right down to the placement of each accessory.

I think many magazine readers take for granted just how much planning goes into editorials like this. The stylist has to research, storyboard, pull merchandise, fit models and often travel for a single shoot that takes sixty seconds to page through. Pretty incredible.
