Hey.

I'm Mary. It's nice to meet you. This blog is a tiny space on the internet to document my musings on style, travel and culture. Enjoy!

OUTFIT POST: Yes to '70s denim

I finally nabbed a pair of high-waist, wide-leg jeans! Thank you, WhoWhatWear, for the kick in the pants. My options were severely limited as it takes forever for buyers to pick up trends here, so short of ordering them online (Hah! I'd have to be out of my mind to order jeans online), I stopped by the only physical store I knew had 'em.

Kudos, Gap. These suckers are pretty comfy.

And they definitely require heels. In fact, I'm not sure how anyone shorter than me could wear the same size without getting them tailored. They don't come in petites as far as I'm aware.

I'm wearing them with my favorite pair of clogs — one of the few heels I can wear for hours without the slightest discomfort.

I'm excited to wear these jeans with all the vintage blouses I've collected over the years.

Try as I might, I can't remember when, where or how I acquired this military-style belt. I've been waiting for the right time to wear it, and this masculine-tinged look seemed appropriate.

Anyone else gotten a pair of this style yet? I'm pretty sure they're going to be everywhere come spring.
