It's been a busy couple weeks for one very important reason:
I'm moving to Seattle!
Crazy, right? Everything's happening so quickly. I've accepted a position as a Senior Features Writer for Nordstrom, my all-time favorite department store.* I'm going to be writing for nordstrom.com, which I'm particularly excited about because, as an Internet junkie, I love anything that has to do with the online world.
I'm in the process of renting a beautiful new apartment in Capitol Hill, the neighborhood most recommended to me. It sounds a lot like Uptown Minneapolis where I currently live, so it shouldn't be too jarring. You can't imagine how happy I am to be leaving Minnesota right as winter settles in ... though I've been warned about the prevalence of seasonal affective disorder among Midwest transplants in perpetually overcast Seattle, so we'll see how it goes.
Please share your tips for moving cross-country and starting over in a new city! And I'd love to hear about your favorite places to eat, shop and party in Seattle!
