Everything is better in France. I'm pretty sure simply getting on a plane to Paris causes one to drop ten pounds, grow thicker hair and speak in a soft, lilting lullabye. So it's no surprise that fashion design seems to come easy to the French. Chanel, Lacroix, Givenchy, YSL, Louboutin, Rykiel, Dior — ever heard of 'em?
I'm not lucky enough to attend any of those fashion shows in the coming weeks, but I will be checking out the collection of Sophie Theallet, a semi-well-known designer from the southwest coast of France who used to work for Jean-Paul Gaultier.
